ustin Wayne Self, driver of the No. 22 AM Racing Toyota Tundra, competes in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for Mooresville, North Carolina-based AM Racing. The 2017 NCWTS season marks Self’s second year on tour.
While Self is still relatively new to NASCAR, he carries a long list of racing accomplishments under his belt. He amassed 45 starts in the ARCA Racing Series over three seasons, highlighted by one win (Winchester Speedway 2015), 13 top-five and 30 top-10 finishes. To further compliment his on-track success, Self grabbed the 2014 ARCA Racing Series Rookie of the Year championship battle. His freshman season in NASCAR featured a top-10 finish at Eldora Speedway on the dirt.
At the age of 4, what started out as a hobby quickly became a personal passion for Self and would later spark his career in Motorsports. Today, the Austin, Texas native has spent thousands of hours behind the wheel, moving up the ranks from karting to the NASCAR K&N division and Whelen Series, then on to the ARCA Racing Series and the top-three national divisions of NASCAR.
With his focus, determination and desire to deliver successful on-track results, Self has gained the support of several Texas-based companies and programs which have allowed him to continue his foray in the sport this season.
